THE PERFECT WAVE

Bull's eye! Cape Verde is a true paradise for surfers and wave riders, as most beaches have very good wind conditions. And thanks to the mild Atlantic climate, the water is always a pleasant 22-24 degrees. So you can safely leave the thick wetsuit at home.

SURF LESSON

Very first surf lesson: Never fear, Kabungo Borges has taught a lot of people how to surf, thanks to his admirable skills and unending patience. The one-hour lesson with the national champion costs
30 EUR and is - in consideration of the weather conditions – bookable daily.

  • lessons with a national surf champion
  • lessons in English or Portuguese
  • including surfboard and neoprene

Surfing for experienced surfers

It is possible to go surfing by your own. Rent your equipment per day without a guide:

  • Board rent 15 EUR
  • Neoprene rent 10 EUR

Pro tip: It is hardly possible to rent or repair surfboards on the island of Santiago. So, if you like to do your own thing, please bear in mind to bring your preferred surfboard, wax and sufficient repair materials with you.
